Tellico Village and Rarity Bay are among its most recognizable names, but the lake also touches rural roads, historic places and independent properties in Loudon, Monroe and Blount counties.
TVA reports that Tellico Reservoir stretches 33 miles along the Little Tennessee River and provides 357 miles of shoreline and 15,560 acres of water surface. Tellico Dam does not generate electricity; water passes through a canal into Fort Loudoun Reservoir, linking the two reservoirs operationally.

What Gives Tellico Its Character
Tellico combines recreation with a historically and culturally significant landscape. Fort Loudoun State Historic Park and the Sequoyah Birthplace Museum are located along the reservoir. Planned-community living is a major part of the Tellico story, but it is not the whole story. Buyers should compare neighborhood governance, fees and amenities with independent waterfront or water-access properties that may have different maintenance demands and fewer shared services.
